Designed for high-intensity use at commercial gyms, the Precor 842R recumbent exercise cycle offers a fluid motion and wide range of resistance levels to deliver a superior workout experience for beginners and experts alike. The low-maintenance 842R cycle features 6 programs, a double step-up drive with Poly-V belt for a smooth, silent cycling experience, and a magnetic, no-contact generator system that provides consistent resistance and reduces the roughness, maintenance, and wear associated with mechanical alternators.


Full back support and a properly angled contoured seat provide maximum comfort.


Larger platform pedals accommodate a wide range of users.
The 842R is compatible with heart rate telemetry reading using optional wireless chest strap transmitters.

Features:

  • Direct access to 6 programs: Six buttons are the gateway to 6 preset programs, including one fitness test. You can select or change to a new program at any time during their workout.
  • Belt-drive system: A double step-up drive gives you a smooth, silent exercise experience. A Poly-V belt is used instead of a chain for less maintenance and a silent ride.
  • 3-piece crank: The 3-piece crank tightens positively, reducing the need for periodic adjustments. The 9/16-inch crank arm accepts any standard road or mountain bike pedal.
  • 25 different resistance settings let you maximize workouts. Resistance levels range from 18 watts (level 1 at 20 RPM) to 500 watts (level 25 at 100 RPM) and 750 watts (level 25 at 150 RPM).
  • SmartRate shows your heart rate in relation to the target zone for weight loss and cardio training when using an optional wireless heart rate monitor.
  • 3-phase generator/eddy current resistance system requires no backup battery in order to power the bike.
  • Belt drive for smoother, quieter operation and reduced maintenance.
  • Transport wheels in the rear of the EFX allow the unit to be went when cleaning the floor
  • Accessory holders for water bottle, portable music, reading material and more
  • Two-step powder-coating process applies rust-resistant undercoat and cosmetic topcoat to steel frame
  • QuickStart lets you start workout with the push of a single button
